About the Author: Joni Kerline-Nowak
Ms. Kerline-Nowak developed a delightful tale from a true story. Through 48 pages of lush hand illustrated pages, young readers and their parents get to know 'Sebastian'. He is an endearing little garden creature who finds himself in a lot of trouble when he doesn't listen to his family and friends advice.
Ms. Nowak is a compelling character, herself.
Mother of three children, she is a well known
figure across most of Northern Ohio's ER departments.
Depending on the day's work at hand, she can
also be found riding with critical ground transport
teams or assisting with, all volunteer, Angel
Flights taking her far from her base in Northeastern
Ohio. Over the past several years she has used
her artistic talents to craft a series of books
for children. Additional story lines are under
development and will be released into print
in 2007/2008.
The book is currently available at Borders,
Barnes & Noble, Joseph/Beth,
or direct from the authors website: www.sebastianbreaksforfreedom.com
or her publishers site: www.kidbookink.com.
Ms. Nowak has also co-founded a publishing co.
devoted to providing a unique web-based story
writing application, that children can use to
write and 'publish' their own stories from.
It is a truely unique place where children can
come to create! Please take a moment to wander
through the magic of KidBookInk !! Ms.
Nowak is available to schools and private organizations
for readings, lectures and workshops.
